improve hair health through food and nutrition-pcos hair loss- whitney mundell-pcos oracle podcast

Whitney Mundell (@restored_nutrition) is a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who is passionate about helping women live a nourished life! She helps educate women on the power of nutrient dense, whole food nutrition and targeted supplementation as a way to bring balance to their health and nourish their bodies. From fatigue, bloating, and cravings to thinning hair, painful periods, and skin issues, Whitney helps women navigate the world of healing by identifying the root cause of their symptoms. Whitney deeply believes that when we restore our connection with the healing power of nutrient-dense whole food and support the root cause for health imbalances, we will step into a place of healing we never knew existed.

Hair health is such a popular topic and I frequently get asked what can be done for hair loss, how can you stop hair loss and hair thinning and is it possible to achieve hair regrowth (is hair loss reversible). So it was great to have had the opportunity to speak with Whitney Mundell about improving hair health through food and nutrition.

You can often feel powerless when experiencing hair issues like hair loss. You don’t know what to do to stop it or help it. It’s common to come across medication and topical treatments. But your diet is one key area that can play a huge role in the health of your hair.

Food and nutrition play a powerful and important role in preventing and stimulating hair regrowth.

All cells require energy to function and survive. So this means that the health of hair follicles are dependent of the energetic state of the cells that make them. Hair loss is therefore described as an "inefficient” cellular energy metabolism.

Here's what we discuss in the episode

  • The Causes/reasons for hair problems like hair loss/hair thinning etc
  • Why hair changes colour (depigmentation)
  • Nutrition tips to nourish the hair

Going through symptoms like hair loss is not easy, but from my interview with Whitney, you will learn that achieving better hair health and reversing hair loss is possible. Which is super motivating and empowering to know. So don’t give up. As Whitney says in the episode, be patient, improving your overall health and regaining lost hair is a long term goal.

Please enjoy!
